backyard life

spiders and insects have always fascinated andrea and i. a few days ago we spent much of the day in her backyard with my camera, and here is some of the material. naturalism, in this context can be a rewarding hobby.

    you have a good point, but i'd rather be james benning.

    although the picture...i know...its a little much and your comment makes me feel a bit sheepish. its only there because the other stopped appearing. but i will admit, i don't feel sheepish re-imagining bazin's theories because there is a definate truth found in them.

    Jon: Everything seems so relevant and close to you doesn't it. James Benning? I am not familiar, but now I will learn. Quick fact of circles: The man who wrote the piece on James Benning, Michael J. Anderson has a blog which you might have perused, or might not, I am not sure. But, in a similar life of your own, he works a normal job and writes film essays on the side, perhaps because he went to the Tisch School at NYU or because he got a B.A. from Hillsdale College, which if I am not mistaken is a small liberal arts school in western Michigan where your sister attended. Find it Jon. Find your place.
